Perhaps as pretty a home wedding as has occured this season transpired at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Zach HIGGINGBOTTOM, northwest of Centerville on St. Valentine's day. The contracting parties were Miss Bessie HIGGINBOTTOM, their eldest daughter and Mr. A.W. COOK of Parker. The marriage ceremony was performed in the family parlor, where in the presence of immediate members of the family and a few invited guests, Rev. McAdams, of Centerville pronounced the words which made them man and wife. The bridal couple was very appropriately attired for the occasion, the bride being costumed in a wedding gown of silver grey, in which she looked very becoming. The groom in keeping with the established costume, wore a suit of the conventional black. At the conclusion of the pretty ceremony, congratulations were in order after which the wedding party retired to the dining room where a luxurious wedding feast was served. At the conclusion of this a social chat was enjoyed, following by the guests repairing to their several homes. The young couple is exceedingly well known. Mrs. Cook being the highly accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zack Higginbottom and whose friends are numerous. Mr. Cook is the accomadating book-keeper and assistant cashier of the Centerville State Bank, and he too has numerous friends. The young couple are highly respected; they start out on the journey of life with a happy beginning and their many friends wish them a safe and prosperous voyage.
