 The Item, Linn County, Friday, March 6, 1896
Married.--On Wednesday, March 4, '96, at 7 o'clock p.m., at the home of the
bride's parents, 3 miles north-east of this city, John S. HENRY to Mary A.
SMITH, Rev. I.B. Pulliam officiating. The groom is the son of our worthy
townsman, A.G. Henry, who lately moved to Selma, Kan., and is a young man of
excellent habits, sound judgement and fine ability. The bride is a daughter of
Fred Smith and wife, old residences of this township. Mary is an accomplished,
highly educated and refined young lady with a host of warm friends who join us
in wishing them a happy and prosperous journey through life.
