The Border Sentinel, Linn County, Friday, February 13, 1874
Married. At the Pleasanton House, in Pleasanton, by Rev. C. Blood, on Thursday,
February 12, 1874, Mr. Junius HILLYER and Miss Mary C. STIPP, both of Mound City.

It gives us great pleasure to chronicle this event, on account of us having been
intimately acquainted with both of them, and knowing them to be well worthy of
each other. The pleasant, courteous and winning ways of our friend Junius will,
we know, always make him a fitting companion for the estimable lady he has won;
and he by making Mary his choice, will never regret the step. Future happiness,
peace and plenty, are our best wishes.
