Memorial Day, May 30, 1890, will be observed by Oakley Post, No. 406, G. A. R., assisted by the W. R. C., as follows: The post and W. R. C., together with all the old soldiers present, will meet at G. A. R. hall at 9:30 a. m. and march to the M. E. church at 10 o'clock. The excereises (sic) at the church will consist of a song by the choir, prayer by the chaplain, and welcome address by Mayor WINSLOW. After which they will precede to Oakley cemetery and decorate the graves of all old soldiers buried there. 1:30 P. M., reassemble at the church. Mrs. HUMPHREY, Mrs. WHITAKER, Mrs. BERRYHILL and Mrs. DUNAVIN. To see about flowers: Comrades ROBBINS and WHITAKER; Mrs. BERRY; Mrs. BERRYHILL. A Memorial sermon will be preached at the M. E. church on Sunday, May 25, 1890, at 11 o'clock, by Rev. G. M. GLICK, commander of Oakley Post. Every old soldier is requested to be present at this service as well as on Memorial day.
