Stetter Timetraveler303@aol.com November 18, 2007, 11:10 am The Oakley Graphic The Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan County, Kansas 1 November 1984 BRUCE HENRY ALLEN Bruce Henry ALLEN, 85, 2707 Academy, Dodge City, Ks., was born Oct. 8, 1899 in Ellsworth and died Oct. 23, 1984 in Spearville. His parents were George H. and Margaret (HENDERSON) ALLEN. He was a retired wheat elevator operator. Mr. ALLEN was raised in Ellsworth, married Anne S. SHERIDAN Oct. 25, 1922 at Carneiro. They lived in Ellsworth until 1930 when they moved to Winona. Mrs. ALLEN died Feb. 25, 1983. They moved to Dodge City in 1980. Memberships included Presbyterian Church of Ellsworth and Odd Fellows Lodge. Survivors are: Mrs. Mona F. THOMPSON, Dodge City; Mrs. Edith E. MERICA, Spearville; Mrs. Ruth Anne ANDERSON, Scott City; two brothers and six sisters, eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Winona Methodist Church, Winona at 2 p.m. Oct. 27, 1984. Minister was Rev. Richard KACZOR with burial in the Winona Cemetery. Koster Funeral Home, Oakley was in charge of Winona services.
