Stetter Timetraveler303@aol.com November 18, 2007, 11:14 am The Oakley Graphic The Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan County, Kansas January 1976 Obituary Ira Leo Allen Ira Leo ALLEN, son of John William and Esther Menendora ALLEN was born March 14, 1910, at Natoma, Kans., in Osborne County. He died in the Madera hospital, Madera, Calif., Dec. 20, 1975. He came to Gove county with his parents in 1920 and lived on a farm twelve miles south of Campus until 1923 when they moved to Boulder, Colo., where he finished his schooling. He was united in marriage to Elsie SMITH Nov. 21, 1927. They moved to Oneals, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, four sons, Lyle, Leon, Glen near North Fork and Gary of the home. Three daughters, Barbara (Thom) WALKER, Oneals, Calif., Iris (Harold) VERMEY, Reno, Nev., and Sherry (Andrew) VARGO, Friant, Calif., 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. One brother, Ted ALLEN, Boulder, Colo, 3 sisters, Lula (William) MURRISON, Chapman, Kans., Lydia (Mac) McPHERRIN, Overland Park, Kans., and Frances (Wm.) STEVENSON, Oakley, Kans., and relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, four brothers, Edwin, Herbert, Nathen, and Leslie, 2 sisters, Lillie and Elsie, and one grandson. Graveside services and burial were held at the North Fork cemetery.
