The Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan  County, Kansas; Friday, May 8,  1891;
Emporia Republican:  Winfert McGRADE, a young man living near  Verdigris, was 
engaged in cleaning a shot gun when it was discharged, the  contents entering 
his head and killing him instantly.  The deceased was  eighteen years old, 
the son of I. D. McGRADE, an old settler in the county and a  prosperous farmer.
