WORDEN, was taken suddenly ill last Monday morning with spasms and paralysis. When she came out of the first spasm she had lost speech, sight, and hearing and no medicine could be given, as she could not swallow without choking. She lingered in a great deal of agony until yesterday morning, when she died about 1 o'clock. Up to Monday she had been in apparently as good health as anyone. The funeral services are to be held today at Mr. WORDEN's, southwest of this city, where she lived, and the remains will be interred in the Oakley cemetery. She was 74 years of age. Additional notation on the referenced page: C. C. GILMORE is up from Russell Springs today attending the funeral of Mrs. LENZ. _______________ Source: "Local and General" column, The Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan County, Kansas; Friday March 13, 1891; Volume II No. 17, page 4 columns 3-4.
