Born: Linn Grove, Iowa Died: Lindsborg, Kansas son of John P."Pete" Anderson 
and Hedda "Hattie" Natalie Brostad Anderson. Former resident of New Mexico 
from 1957 to 1972 and resident of Lindsborg since 1972, formerly of Linn 
Grove, Iowa. He was a businessman and served as a Sergeant in the 24th 
Infantry Division, Sixth Army in World War II in the Pacific Theatre from 1942 
to 1945. Baptised and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church of Linn Grove, 
Iowa. He belonged to Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg since 1972. He was a 
member of the American Legion for 54 years. He was a farmer in Iowa then 
Secretary-Treasurer of San Juan Gravel Products Inc. in Farmington, New Mexico 
and co-founder of Anderson Butik in Lindsborg, Kansas. On December 26, 1949 he 
married Gladys Charlene Mortensen at Crystal Lake, Iowa. He is survived by his 
wife Gladys and sons Dean(Charlotte) of Lindsborg and John(Patricia) of Flora 
Vista, New Mexico; grandchildren: Donald and Jeff Anderson of New Mexico and 
Sara and Emma Anderson of Lindsborg. He was preceded in death by a brother, 
Herman.
