The Osawatomie Journal, Miami County, Friday, March 11, 1898
Died.
BOYD: At the St. Margaret hospital at Kansas City, Saturday, March 5, of
consumption, Ida May BOYD, aged seventeen years.
The remains were prepared for burial and shipped to this place Monday and taken
to the Presbyterian church where the funeral was held at 2 p.m., after which she
was buried in the cemetery beside her brother, Paris, who died here last July.
Deceased was a niece of Mrs. H.McFEE, with whom she has lived for five years
prior to her removal to Kansas City for medical treatment. She had been an
invalid for years and although her death was not unexpected it was none the less
sad. A sister, Emily and the relatives with whom she had made her home, are left
to mourn their loss, and to them the sympathy of the community is extended.
