The Osawatomie Journal, Miami County, Friday, October 8, 1897

Miss Clara LYONS died Sunday about noon at the residence of her sister, Mrs.
John PRICE, with typhoid malarial fever. The deceased was about thirteen years
of age and was a bright, intelligent girl. Her body was taken to Erie, Kansas,
Sunday evening. The funeral was held Monday and the interment made in the Erie
cemetery. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
