The Osawatomie Graphic, Miami County, Thursday, October 18, 1923
Emma L. ALLEN was born in Illinois May 15, 1854 and died at her home in Garnett,
Kansas, at the age of 69.
She was married to T.B. TUSH on October 23, 1871, coming to Garnett soon after.
To this union was born five children, Mrs. Bertha LANDIS, dying, March 18, 1916.
Mr. Tush died on February 8, 1918.
She is survived by three sons, John Tush, of Osawatomie; William Tush of
Coffeyville, and Martin Tush of Garnett; one child died in infancy; also 13
grandchildren and three sisters and one brother.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paul Dinsmore, at the Presbyterian
church, Sunday, Oct. 7, with interment in the Garnett cemetery.
