The Osawatomie Journal,Miami County,FridaySeptember 10, 1897,

Died.
A.E. WOODS died at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Margaret Woods, last
evening of consumption, at the age of 44 years. Funeral under the auspices of
the A.O.U.W. will be held from the M.E. church at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Elder Smith
and Rev. White officiating.
Deceased has been a resident of this county for thirty years and was well known
and respected all over this portion of the state. His wife, whom he married at
Fontana, died some eight years ago. He leaves one son, Elmer, who is located at
Arkansas City, and four daughters, Daisy, Katie and May of this place and Mrs.
W.A. APPLEGATE of Monta Vista, Colorado, and four brothers and a mother to mourn
his loss.
