L. Wright died in her home in the east part of town Saturday night, aged 68 years. Fifty years of happy wedded life was enjoyed with her husband, who with two children survive her, and when death took her by the hand she gently succumbed to his bidding and gently passed to her reward. Mrs. Wright was born in Ohio and in early childhood moved to Indiana and was married at Richmond a few months over fifty years ago. She was a consistent christian and led an exemlary life as a wife, mother and friend. Mrs. Wright came to Miami county twenty-eight years ago and has resided in Paola for over three years and she was well loved by all who knew her. The funeral took place at her late home Monday and was conducted by Elder J.C. McQuerry, of the Christian church. The funeral cortege was a very large and scores of old neighbors and friends followed her remains to the long resting place. Condolence is extended by the numerous friends to the husband and children who will miss a wife's advise and a mother's kind words.
