The Richmond Palladium (Indiana), 29 June 1864
DIED--In the Hospital at Fort Leavenworth, on the 25th day of April last, 
after  a brief illness of inflamation of the brain and spine, WILLIAM CALVIN, 
son of James and Nancy Jane Wright, formerly of this city, aged 17 years, 3 
months and 29 days. He was a member of the 16th Regiment, Indiana Volunteers. 
Thus another brave boy has given up his life in defence of his government, and 
to perptuate the Union. We deeply sympathize with his fond parents in their 
irreparable loss. May Heaven help them bear it with resignation

Additional Comments:
He has a "In Memory" headstone in the Wright family plot in the Paola Cemetery, 
Miami County, Kansas.
