The Osawatomie Progress, Miami County, Thurday, October 16, 1902


Stokes--Davidson.
Mr. C.S. STOKES and Miss Catherine DAVIDSON were united in marraige Wednesday at
3 p.m., Rev. J.M. Leonard officiating. They came in on the flyer in the evening
and took the state carriage for the hospital, where they will make their home in
the future.
Mr. Stokes has been identified with the corps of state hospital officials for
the past two years and during the time has made many friends in Osawatomie and
vicinity. He is a good business man, a thorough gentleman and is considered by
all to be one of the best stewards the state has ever had. Miss Davidson has
also made Osawatomie her home for the past two years and is know to be a lady of
rare ability and possessed with all the requisites that go to make up pure
womanhood. Mr. and Mrs. Stokes received a hearty welcome from all who know them,
and may they live long and enjoy a prosperous and happy life is the wish of all
