Sewell SHIPLEY, one of our well known Osawatomie boys, was married to Miss Minnie SHARP, Saturday afternoon at Mound City, Rev. J.M. Diss officiating. Mr. Shipley is one among our young men, who, through honest motives and an industrious plan of action, is working himself up to a high position in life. The Progress wishes him well, and that his present determination will be a realization in the near future. The bride is unknown to us, but she comes from one of the best known families in Linn county, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sharp and that alone is one the best recommendations she could have, but we have learned that she is a lady possessing all the womanly powers requisite to success and advancement in this life, and the many friends of Mr. Shipley give her a hearty welcome to our city. May they live long and meet the adversities of life hand in hand as only man and wife can and come out in the end victorious, feeling that they can look back over their past lives without pangs of regret, but with great pleasure, and fond memories.
