V. T. FLORA DIED           THIS MORNING                       ------- WAS THE FATHER OF MRS. HEN-         RY CONRAD                     --------- Came Here Years Ago [1875] and Spent Most of His Life In This County               -----------       V T Flora, the father of Mrs Henry Conrad, died this morning at about five o'clock at home of his daughter on South Second street. Mr Flora has been alling for some time, but yesterday morning the family found him unconscious in bed and he never rallied, passing away early this morning. The primary cause of his death was kidney trouble from which he had been suffering for sometime.       Deceased was 74 years of age and coming to Montgomery county in the early days from Indiana and stayed here until several years ago [1875/6] when he went to Colorado to live, returning here in 1905 to make his home with daughter, Mrs Conrad. Mrs Flora has been dead a number of years [5] and he has made his home with his children for some time past.       Besides Mrs Conrad, deceased has another daughter, Mrs Duggan, who lives in Mont Rose, Col. Two sisters and one brother also survive him.       One sister [Josephine] lives in Ottumwa [Olathe, 1900], Kan, and one [Margaret] in Missouri, and the brother [John A], father of C M Flora of this city, in Oswego.       The funeral arrangements have not been completed, but will be announced later. Additional Comments: Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery where Henry & Wilma Conrad are also buried. V P FLORA; born 22 Dec 1834, Harrison County, Indiana, married Eleanor Hollingsworth Christmas day 1856, Dublin Indiana, attended Hartsville University 1858, moved to Breckenridge County, Kansas Territory, with in-laws, fall 1860, to Montgomery county after 1870, to Lake City, Colorado Territory, 1875/6 (following brother Daniel Rice Boon Flora), wife died Portland, Colorado 11 August 1904, buried with sister Mary (Boon Flora's wife), at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ouray, Colorado, he then returned to Kansas 1905.
