Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry FARLOW of rural Bolton, will hold "open house" for their
friends at their home between the hours of two and five o'clock on Sunday
afternoon to observe their golden wedding anniversary. The couple was married on
September 1, 1893 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff
METZGER, in rural Independence. They have been residents of this county their
entire wedded life. For many years Mr. Farlow was a teacher in the rural school.
In the early 1900's he opened a general store in Bolton and continued in that
business until about twelve year ago. Mr. and Mrs. Farlow are the parents of
Sheriff Denzil Farlow and Lyle Farlow.
Last night a family picnic was held at the Pawnee Lone Chief cabin in honor of
Mr. and Mrs. Farlow. The table was lovely with its decorations of golden garden
flowers. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Will Farlow, Miss Opal Farlow, Mrs.
Elmer Farlow, Mrs. Mary FINNEY, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Farlow and son, Larry, Mr.
and Mrs. Merl Farlow, Mrs. Wayne Farlow, Miss Virginia LYNN, of Topeka, Ned ROLL
of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Bell METZGER, L.H. BOWEN, Mrs. James SHELDON, Mr.
and Mrs. Denzil FARLOW and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farlow. Will Farlow and Mrs. Finney
are brother and sister of Harry Farlow and Bill Metzger is a brother of Mrs.
Farlow.
