Mr. TAYLOR and Mr. HENDERSON work for Dick MADDEN on his farm on the east side of the river and for a long time have lived in a tent on Mr. Madden's place. Tuesday night, as they were going home from town, they were met near the bridge by two colored men, one with a Winchester and the other with a shotgun, and orderd to hold up their hands. Taylor had his hands in his pocket at the time and as he drew them out he pulled out his pocket book containing a few dollars, and let it fall on the ground, where it was not discovered. Henderson had to shell out about eight dollars. On reaching their tent they found that a Winchester rifle and a shot gun had been taken and it was evident that they had been held up with their own guns. The officers have been working busily on the case and it is ! likely that some arrests will be made as it is thought that they are on track of the robbers.
