SOMERS and W.B. COWING, of Ft. Scott, concluded to follow the beautiful example set by MOORE and Mrs. NORTON, and skipping out from their legal partners, came to Parsons and took a room at the Wirth house as man and wife. THey have not been treated with such distinguished favor by the Parsons authorities as have Mrs. Norton and MOORE at Topeka. They were arrested for adultery and we have seen no sickening gush about the dignified and modest bearing of the lady in the case. They had their trial last Monday and Mrs. Somers was fined $50 each on two counts and COWING $125 each on two counts. In default of bail they were committed to the county jail. Running away with other peoples partners is not always funny and when people think they must go, they should take a quiet start and go so far away as never to be heard from.
