Buntin. Had Been Resident of Independence 20 Years. Alvin Ernest BUNTIN, 63, a resident of Independence for 20 years and a former resident of the Jefferson and Dearin communities, passed away this morning at Mercy hospital, after having been ill for the past three days. Mr. Buntin for some time has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Floyd HESLOP, 1008 West Main street. Alvin Ernest Buntin was born in Harrison county, Mo., August 10, 1873, and at an early age moved to Kansas. During his residence in this section he was an employe of the Kansas Natural Gas company for 14 years. Mrs. Buntin passed away 30 years ago. The deceased was a member of the Odd Fellows order and was one of the few 25-year members of the local organization. Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Heslop and Mrs. Arthur MARION of this city; one sister, Mrs. Ralph OGLESBEE of Spokane, Washington, and thre brothers, Wallace of Seattle, Washington, W.A. Buntin of Edna, Kansas, and J.A. Buntin of Coffeyville. Funeral services are awaiting word from relatives.
