DR FLORA DIES AT DAUGHTERS HOME IN PUEBLO

Prominent in Financial and Religious Life Here Many Years

      Dr W W Flora for many years a resident f Colorado Springs, died yesterday at
the home of his daughter, Mrs Guy Hopkns in Pueblo. Dr Flora had been in ill health
for several years. He is survuived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs Guy Hopkins of
Pueblo nd Mrs Luke Boggess of Kansas City, and one sister Mrs Carl Gray. 



      Dr Flora came to Coorado Springs in 1900 from Carthage, Mo on account of poor
health of Mrs Flora at that time. He practiced denitisry for a number of years in
this city, being associated with Dr Sinton. 



      He was prominent in other activities in te city also. Much of his time was
devote to the Y M C A and to Beth-El hospital, serving for a number of years on a
committee which ad charge of the institution. He was director of Colorado Springs
National Bank at the time f his death.

Additional Comments:
Dr William Walter FLORA was s/o John Andrew Flora and Mary Elizabeth Shults, born 23
Nov 1871. After mother's death, Nov 1874, he was raised by his materal grandmother,
Harriet Catharine Shults, in near Liberty till young manhood. He was president of Y
M C A in Oswego, KS when he left for Carthage, Mo in 1892.
