Koyl. Lived Here 41 Years; Funeral Wednesday Afternoon. Fred J. KOYL, 71, died at his home, 908 West Pine, Monday evening at 5:25 following an illness of two years. Death was attributed to a bladder ailment. Mr. Koyl came to Independence 41 years ago from Iowa where he moved at the age of six years with his parents from Rockford, Ill.,where he was born June 4, 1865. He was successful farmer for many years before illness forced him to give up active work. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. Besides the wife, two sons, Allen of Coffeyville and Frank of Independence; two brothers, Charles of Independence, William of Huntington Park, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Nina ESTEP of Manhattan, survive. Funeral services will be held from the Jackson chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. A.C. Stewart of Fall River in charge. Burial will be in Springhill cemetery.
