The Independence Daily Reporter, Montgomery County, Wednesday, October 20, 1943
Mrs. Joyce W. Miller Dies This Afternoon.
Mrs. Juanita MILLER, 30, wife of Joyce W. Miller, vocational agriculture
instructor in the Independence high school, died at 12:50 this afternoon in
Mercy hospital of pneumonia following childbirth. A son had been born to her
yesterday morning.
Mr. Miller, who was raised in Sycamore and who attended the local high school
came her to teach vocational agriculture during the last few weeks of the
preceding school year from Manhattan where he had been one of the supervisors of
high schools which teach vocational agriculture.
