Peck Dies Saturday. Funeral Services Will Be Held Tuesday. Edna Anna PECK, 56, wife of A.E. Peck, 305 South Twelfth, passed away Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, after having been in ill health since last November and seriously ill the past two weeks. Edna Anna KIER was born in Waukegan, Illinois, July 12, 1880, and later moved with her parents to Kansas, where they settled in Winfield. On October 4, 1908 she was united in marriage to A.E. Peck in WInfield and soon after their marriage they moved to Independence to make their home. To the union were born three children. During her years in this city she had been very active in the Methodist church and for several years was the superintendent of the Cradle Roll department. She was a member of the Daughter of Veterans and was very active in local Camp Fire work. For eight years she had served as a guardian of a local group of girls. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 from the Potts Funeral home with Rev. R. O. Penick in charge. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery. Surviving are the husband and two daughters, Doris and Naida of the home a son Harold of Wichita.
