The Evening Reporter, Montgomery County, Monday, April 2, 1888
Elmer PIETT, an employee of the Kyser Plow works, at Parsons, was instantly
killed on Saturday afternoon by the bursting of an emery wheel, on which he was
grinding a plow shear. The wheel was running at the rate of 1,000 revolutions
per minute when it burst, and a fragment tore open Piett's neck.
