Roberds Is Found Dead. Tyro Man Discovered by a Relief Case Worker. William ROBERDS, 82, was found dead in his small one-room home at Tyro this morning. Dr. W.S. Hudiburg, Montgomery county coroner who went to Tyro accompanied by Sheriff Harold Smith and Deputy Gerald Gibson, said Roberds apparently died of natural causes although the body was in such state of decomposition that an examination could not be made. Doors of Roberds' house where he lived alone, were locked from the inside, therefore indicating, Dr. Hudiburg pointed out, that there was no foul play. The body was found by Mrs. Mayme Titus, county relieft case worker at Caney. Roberds had failed to appear at relief headquarters and Mrs. Titus went to his home to investigate. The coroner estimated Roberds had been dead for a week. He was last seen alive a week ago. Roberds was buried this afternon in Harrisonville cemetery north of Tyro with the Atwood-Carinder Funeral home of Caney in charge. Rev. Basquin of the Tyro Methodist church officiated. Roberds until 10 years ago worked as a blacksmith at Tyro. Surviving relatives are two brothers, Tracy M. Roberds, commerical teacher in Caney high school, and Albert Roberds of Tyro; two sisters, Mrs. Will MADISON and Carrie ROBERDS, both of Tyro. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/montgomery/obits/r/roberds292ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
