The Independence Daily Reporter, Montgomery County, Monday, July 19, 1943
Graveside Services Wednesday Morning for Gary Lee Sams.

Gary Lee SAMS, nine-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Abra Sams, died this morning at
1:15 at his parents' home, rural route one. He had been ill two days.
Rev. John Hanna of the Christian church will officiate at graveside services
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Mt. Hope cemetery. Burial will be in charge
of the Rodrick Funeral home.
Besides the parents, survivors include a sister, Patricia Ruthy, and a brother,
Glen LeRoy; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Glydie MILLER of Electric Heights,
and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Sams of Ponca City, Okla.
