She was 34. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Skinner-Hamlin Funeral Home chapel here. The Rev. Clayton Lehman of Altamont will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Coffeyville. Mrs. Shouse was born Laura Belle Smith on Oct. 13, 1938, at Independence. She attended high school at Coffeyville and moved to Beatrice, Ne., after graduation. She returned to Mound Valley during 1971 where she was emplyed at Leon's Cafe. She moved to Denver in November of 1971. She was a member of the Jefferson Methodist Church. Survivors include her parents, J. M. and Laura B. (Miller) Smith of Mound Valley; a brother, Frank Smith of Wray, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Eldon (Charlotte) Bronnenberg of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Fidel (Nellie) Leon of Mound Valley, a grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Miller of Garnett.
