Cherryvale Daily News January 28, 1905 OBIT William Frank Tharp This morning about 2 o’clock the Death Angel silently, quietly and unexpectedly entered the home of W. T. Tharp on North Liberty street and saying to the head of the house “your labors are ended,” gathered the spirit of the old veteran in his arms and bore it to the realms beyond where there is no death, no night, Mr. Tharp had been a sufferer for some time with an affection of the heart but no great alarm was felt by his family. Yesterday he was up and around the place. About 2 o’clock this morning the family found him setting in his chair dead. Death had come to him quietly and without a struggle the spirit had left its earthly tabernacle and the aged body peacefully slept the sleep that knows no waking. W.T. Tharp was an old resident of Cherryvale, coming here a quarter of a century ago. He would have been 72 years old had he lived till next June. He was a good citizen, well respected. He leaves three children, Perry, the son who lived with his father and two daughters who live in Kansas City and who will be here to attend the funeral. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30 at the M.E. church. ================================= William Frank Tharp 2nd Obit Cherryvale Weekly Journal Obit January 28, 1905 William Frank Tharp Wm.
