Quite a revolution in the social circles of our little city took place last Monday. Four of our young people became tired of a life of single blessediness and the result, as might be expected, was a double wedding. At the residence of C.Q. Chandler, at 11 o'clock a.m. H.J. HAMMOND and Miss Mattie Lee CHANDLER were united in marriage in the presence of a few friends of the family. At the residence of M.D. WRIGHT, at 7 o'clock p.m. in the presence of a number of their friends, Mr. C.Q. CHANDLER and Miss Lizze WRIGHT were joined together in holy bonds of matrimony. The Rev. James P. Ash officiated in both instances. Elk City Eagle. The bride grooms herein mentioned are well known in this city by a large number of our citizens, while their brides are well and favorably known by a number of our young people, and the happy couples will receive the congratulations of the citizens of Independence.
