The Evening Reporter, Montgomery County, Monday, November 21, 1887
Married.--Elmer MATTHEWS was married at Franklin Grove, Lee county, Illinois,
last Wednesday at three o'clock p.m. to Miss Mary ZUG. Elmer slipped away very
quietly for this trip a week ago but "murder will out" and the object of his
trip was soon whispered all over town. Elmer reached home with his bride
yesterday morning and the couple are at present stopping with Elmers parents,
but intend soon setting up house keeping for themselves. We join with Elmers
many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes to the young couple.
