Abstracted By: Cemetery information comes from "Requiem," 1981, written by Mary L. Hall, Ness County Gen. Society.

Cemetery is not currently active, but it is being cared 
for. Located in the corner of a field, 8 miles south and 1 
mile west of Bazine, Highpoint Township, Ness County, 
Kansas. James G. Winchester and wife gave the land to the 
people of Highpoint Township for the purpose of a 
cemetery, filed for record on May 4th 1888. Description is 
as follows: A tract of land commencing on the SE corner of 
the SE1/4 Sec.2-T20S-R22W and then running along on the 
section line 28-1/2 rods West and thence running North 28- 
1/2 rods, thence East 28-1/2 rods thence South 28-1/2 rods 
to the place of beginning containing 5 acres more or less.
