John Fredrick Karnop born 3 Dec 1852 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  He was the son 
of Fredrick and Wilhelmina H. (Bruss) Karnopp of Pomeriania.  He came to 
Nebraska from Wisconsin in 1874 met and married Caroline Spahnle on 20 Oct 
1877.  They moved to Almena, Norton, Kansas where they raised 12 children 9 
living into adulthood.  John died on 26 Feb 1901 and was buried in Mt. Hope 
Cemetery Block #8, Lot #35.  May he rest in peace.
