Among his victims was his aged mother, whom he kicked into the street from Mr. Charlie Buehler's bakery. He afterward made an attack on Mr. J. Vannatta, who, however, gave him a great deal of the worst of it, striking him over the head with a brick. While fighting with Mr. Vannatta. Connor was arrested by May Stockbridge and one of the Terrill's and with much difficulty was taken to the cooler. He was tried in the police court and fined seven dollars and costs, total ten dollars. Connor is said to be a hard- working, civil fellow when not in liquor, and it is claimed that he very rarely ever drinks. We should certainy hope that his sprees are not very frequent, and we hope too, that the scoundrel who furnished him the liquor last Saturday will come to grief. The Dewar Telegram Thur Apr 4, 1918 pg 4 Pat Connor, who was taken to the hospital at Ft. Smith some time ago, is reported getting along nicely. His friends in Dewar are glad to hear this encouraging news. Mrs. Connor, his mother, who has been at his bedside through it all, came home Tuesday but returned to Ft. Smith Thursday. submitter is not related and has no further information File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/osage/newspapers/connorpa45nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/ksfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
