He is in one of the new towns down there, and speaks very glowingly of the future prospects of that section. He stated that there is a seven foot vein of semi-anthracite coal where he is located, with prospects of a good market for it when mined. Pat has some valuable leases of coal lands in that vicinity that he expects to make him rich sometime. The Osage County Chronicle (Burlingame,KS) Thu Mar 9, 1905 pg 5 Pat Lavey recently delivered his penitentiary lecture in Detroit, Michigan, under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A, and from the reports it is inferred that he made a big hit. The Osage County Chronicle Thur Jul 30, 1903 pg 1 Pat Lavy is editing the Gas City Herald, a newspaper in a new town near Iola. It is said he is making a success of it so far.
