Jesse Briggs Dead.
Mrs. Elsa NESTER, Mrs. Benton BUSH of Topeka and Isreal BRIGGS of Carbondale
received a telegram notifying them of the death of their youngest brother, Jesse
BRIGGS, of Sloan, Ia, Monday afternoon at 2:15. Isreal Briggs, of Carbondale
left that night for Iowa. 
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon.
Word of the sudden death of Mr. Briggs was a shock to relatives here as the last
news they had from Iowa all were in good health. No particulars of the death
were given in the telegram.
