Mrs. Martha Browning.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha BROWNING were held at the Baptist church at
three o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. C.E. Kingsley officiating.
The deceased was the widow of the late C.T. Browning, former grocer of
Burlingame. She was almost 89 years of age and had been an invalid for several
years. Her death occurred about 11 o'clock Monday night, April 24. For the past
six months she had been cared for in the home of Mrs. Eliza Vandevord. A
daughter her husband, Mr. and  Mrs. W.F. Curtis were here from Independence at
the time of her death.
