           Mrs. Ellen A. Butler
   Mrs. Ellen A. Butler, wife of the late
William Butler, former Santa Fe station agent
at Topeka, died Sunday afternoon in a Topeka
hospital. 
   She was born in Durham, England, and came
to Scranton with her parents when she was a
girl. She had resided in Topeka more than 60
years.
   She is survived by two sons, William E. 
Butler of Topeka and Thomas C. Butler of
Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy
(Maudie) Carlson, program director of WIBW;
three grandchildren; six great grandchildren;
a sister, Mrs. J. W. Menzie, Sr., 1527 Poyntz,
Manhattan; and three nephews, all of Manhattan,
Evan Griffith, Tom Griffith and Joseph W. Menzie.
   The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at 
the Holy Name church in Topeka, with burial in
Mount Calvary cemetery there.
