In 1867 they came to Lawrence, Kansas residing there until 1869 when they came to Osage County near Melvern, where he lived until death, Aug. 13, 1922. Aged 73 years years, 1 month and 23 days. At the death of his mother when he was eighteen years old, he took complete charge of the household and cared for his six younger brothers and sisters. He was a cripple all his life but was always patient and thoughtful of others even in his last illness. He leaves to mourn his departure, Mrs. Albert NEAR, of Lebo, Mrs. F.U. JUDD of Melvern, two brothers, W.H. and Edwin F. CAMPBELL of Melvern and five neices and six nephews.
