Funeral services for Mrs. Don COFFMAN, 69, of Wakarusa, were held at Penwell's Funeral Home in Topeka, Tuesday afternoon, June 4, at 2:30 o'clock with burial in Topeka cemetery. Mrs. Coffman was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John HALL who lived for many years on a farm two miles north of Burlingame, now owned by C.F. Fox. The entire family was well known and socially prominent in Burlingame during the residence here. Mrs. Coffman was born November 11, 1870, at Marshaltown, Iowa, and came to Kansas in a covered wagon with her parents when five years of age, locating at Burlingame. Since her marriage to Don Coffman she had lived in Wakarusa, where they conducted a general store. Mr and Mrs. Coffman celebrated their golden wedding in February, 1939. Her death occurred Sunday, June 8, in a Topeka hospital, after an illness of several weeks. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Philip COZIER, Wakarusa; two sons, Don COFFMAN, jr., Wakarusa, and Harry Coffman, Holton; four sisters, Mrs. Emma HOOVER, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Bess HENDERSON, Golden, Colo.; Mrs. Maude SUMMERS, Inglewood, Colo.; and Mrs. Kate MABON, Topeka; three brothers, Robert J. HALL, Topeka, James and Harry Hall, of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.
