Dooty. Bessie Anna TRACY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Tracy, was born at Melvern, Kansas, December 30th, 1887; died at Ransom, Kansas, April 18, 1924, age 36 years, 3 months and 18 days. She grew to womanhood in this neighborhood, and was married to Mr. Joe L. DOOTY of Melvern May 8th, 1920. After their marriage they moved to Marion, Kansas, and later to Ransom, Kansas, where she departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Joe L. Dooty; four sisters and four brothers; Dora A. DONALDSON, Florrisant, Colo.; Mary NOBLITT, Kingman, Kan.; Iva T. SCOTT, Ellsworth, Kan.; Jessie A. GORR (a twin sister), Lafayette, La.; E.S. TRACY, Chicago, Ill.; F.P. Tracy, Fort Worth, Tex.; and B.F. and L.E. Tracy both of Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church, Rev. E.T. Lacey officiating and burial made in the family lot in the Melvern cemetery.
