The remains were taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Dixon Burnett, and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Edwards will be remembered as an elder daughter of the late Mrs. Cole-Mings, and as a resident of this city for many years. As Anna Sandreth she was born in Whitehaven, England, April 9, 1855. Her death occurring on April 7, she lacked but two days of reaching the age of sixty- two years. She was married to Thomas Edwards at Boone, Iowa on April 9, 1871. Ten years later they came to Burlingame, where they resided unti 1908, when they returned to Iowa, and there occurred the death of Mr Edwards on April 9, 1911. Of six childen born to them, four are living: Mrs. Maude Connors of Alton, Ill., William C. and Edith of Denver and C. I. of Pueblo, Colo. A son, Isaac, died here many years ago, and Miss Emma's death occurred fourteen years ago. Four sisters and six brothers also survive. After the death of Mr. Edwards, Mrs. Edwards and her daughter went to Denver, where her son, William, is a telegraph dispatcher. Her last illness covered a period of several weeks, and death was caused by cancer of the liver. Mrs. Edwards joined the Baptist churh of this city about thirty years ago, holding her membership in a Colorado church at the time of her death. She was a most devoted mother and a woman who was well beloved by a wide cirle of friends. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church of this city on Tuesday afternoon, attended by many friends and a numerous family connection. The children were all present but Mrs. Connors who had been called to Denver a few weeks ago. Also two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Thurman of near Melvern, and Mrs. John Shields of Scranton. Others persent were Mr. Shields and daughter, Mrs. Cora Gabler of Scranton; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shields and Leo Connors of Topeka and Mrs. Pearl Burnett-Hawks of Quenemo.
