The little one started school ast fall and had attended one month when she was taken sick and has gradually failed since that time. Her suffering was almost beyond endurance, but, however hard it was to bear, she always tried to be cheerful and to look o the bright side, waiting for the day when she would be with her little playmates again. Her little hands were always busy doing such work that others of her age would never think to do, but which helped to keep her mind off her suffering Little Wilma was a lovable, kind child and altho yet small, had many friends, who felt her death a great loss to them. She loved to attend church, found great pleasure in music and singing and could sit for hours listening to the hymn, "Nearer, My God, to Thee." Another one she loved, "Will You Meet Me Over yonder?" She sang this when just a little tot. Her leaving causes usthe deepes grief and just why she was taken, is hard to understand, altho we must think that God needed her to fill a place in His Kingdom When she seemed to realize that she was going to leave us, she cried out, "God help me." Her last words, "Take me, mamma," will never be forgotten. Those who mourn deeply for the loss of little Wilma are: Father, mother, sister Vivian, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Anderson and Mrs. D. R. Griffith; the aunts, Miss Elvera Anderson, of Scranton; Mrs. Otto Harding and Mrs. Jack Cook, both of Topeka; Miss Verdie Griffith, of Scranton; uncles David Griffith, of Wichita; and Ernest Anderson of Oklahoma; also many other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Scranton, Thursday, March 20th, the Rev. J. C. Brogan, of Emporia, officiating. The little one was laid to rest in Scranton cemetery. Dear Wilma, thou hast left us, and thy leaving brings us pain; But we'll watch and wait for that day, When we'll meet you once again, Oh, may we meet on heaven's bright shore, Free from all grief and pain; And when earth's pilgrimage is o'er, In heaven we'll meet again.
