Henry James HULL was born September 23, 1844 at Great Wymondley in Herfordshire, England, and died May 9th, 1933 at Scranton, Kansas at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 16 days. He was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Harriet Coucom, (Note: later this is spelled Concun), March 12, 1868. To this union were born six children: two sons, Henrf(Henry?) James and Jorn(John?) Thomas; and four daughters, Anna Jane, Mary Elizabeth, Florence and Emma. Mr. HULL came to America with his family in August 1880, and settled first at Buctel, Athens County, Ohio. He came to Scranon(Scranton?) in 1884 and has lived here ever since. He was converted in the Primitive Methodist church in England and was a member of the same until coming to America. He was a faithful student of the Holy Bible and especially the last few years of his life did he spend much time in reading his Bible and memorizing passages of it. He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted wife, Mrs. Harriet Coucon Hull; two daughters, Mrs. Wm. PRESTON of Emporia; and Mrs. Emma GILLEY of Scranton; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.R.
