Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza HUSBANDS who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida BARLOW, in Scranton Monday evening, February 8, 1932, were held at the Barlow home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was in the Scranton cemetery. Mrs. Husbands is another of the early pioneers of Kansas who has passed on to her future reward. She was born in Shelby county, Indiana, July 22, 1841, and was past 90 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Mack Henry Husbands on January 28, 1858, and with her family came to Kansas in 1872. The greater part of her life since then has been spent in this county at Scranton. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ida Barlow of Scranton, tow granddaughters, Mrs. S.P. PELL of Topeka, and Mrs. H.H. COWAN, and a grandson, C.R. BARLOW of Scranton. Three great-grandchildren also survive.
