Mrs. Martha Irvin Sick Only a Week. Mr. Martha IRVIN was born March 10, 1850, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and came to Scranton in 1881. She lived in Scranton until 1902 when she moved to Topeka. She was matron of the Santa Fe station for seventeen years. She came back to Scranton to make her home with her daughter about ten years ago. Grandma Irvin passed away Sunday morning after a weeks illness at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 3 days. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James McKinley, Mrs. Nellie FRITZ of Scranton, and Mrs. L.C. RAHN of Topeka and a son, John D. Irvin of Topeka, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the church of the Assumption Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Card of Thanks. We desire to thank friends and neighbors for the sympathy and help extended during the illness and death of our mother, Mrs. Martha Irvin, also to express our appreciation for the beautiful floral offerings.
