Funeral services for Mrs. Wilda JONES were held in the Methodist church in Scranton, Kansas, Sunday afternoon, April 10, 1932, conducted by Rev. H.P. Basquin, and burial was in the Burlingame cemetery. Wilda BROWN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Carbondale was born on a farm north of Burlingame, December 20, 1907 and passed away at the home of her parents, near Carbondale Friday, April 8, 1932, at the age of 24 years, 3 months, and 19 days. She was married to John JONES January 31, 1925, at Topeka, Kansas. To this union three children were born, Sarah Hazel, aged 6 years, John Jr., aged 5, and James Calvin, aged 2. She had lived in the Burlingame and Scranton communities most of her life and while living in Burlingame her husband passed away December 30, 1930. Since his death she had made her home with her parents. She leaves to mourn her passing, her three children, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, all of the home address; her grandmother, Mrs. Fred Brown of Burlingame; and many other relatives and friends.
