The death of Arthur LEWIS, 65, occurred at the county home on Friday night, February 2. Mr. Lewis had been at the home only since last December 3rd. He was a brother of the late Jack Lewis and had lived in and about Burlingame for the past several years. At one time he and John HILLMAN operated a draying business here. Mr. Lewis who had been in failing health for some time, appeared as usual Friday evening and listened to the radio until after 10 o'clock. Death came, unexpectedly as he slept. Funeral services were held in the McElfresh Mortuary at Osage City on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. O. Harbour of the Methodist church and burial was made in the family burial plot in the Osage City cemetery.
